The Royal Victoria Hotel

The village centre is just a stone’s throw away, and the Snowdon hike starts across the road. The staff were so polite and helpful, the service was second to none, and the rooms were very clean with loads of plug sockets. My only gripe was the heat. Even with the window open, the room was too hot, and I hate to think how it’d be in summer. I can definitely recommend this place.

The shower was lovely and hot, breakfast was lovely, and the staff were friendly. Thank you! I got a good deal on a £40 room 👍 Update: The room was too hot even with the radiator off. I’d rather be cold and pull a quilt over me than try to sleep right next to it, if you can sleep at all. Next time, I’ll get a top-floor room so there’s no squeaky floor above. I heard the people upstairs go to the toilet just after 2am, 5am and 7am, flushing each time.

We’ve stayed at the Royal Victoria Hotel every other year for our climbing club’s annual dinner. The staff are always accommodating, and the food is high quality, served promptly and without fuss. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a warm, powerful shower. Breakfast has a good range of options, and multiple dietary requirements are catered for as standard.

Breakfast is excellent, and the staff I met were all smiley, welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the beds are really comfortable. It’s a lovely historic hotel, perfectly located for walking to everything Llanberis has to offer. Can’t wait to come back!
