We stopped in for lunch and drinks with six of us. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed a few good beers. We all ordered starters: the pâté was really nice, the creamy garlic mushrooms were great, and so were the haggis, neeps and tatties. Four of us chose steak pie and mash, and it was delicious. If we’re back in Lochgoilhead, we’d love another lunch at the Goil Inn.

A friendly pub with a great atmosphere and a nice pint. Well, more than one! The customer service was lovely, polite, and they couldn’t do enough for us.

After a strenuous walk from Ardgarten cabins, we stopped for lunch. Our waitress was very helpful, finding space for our reactive dog and checking bus timetables since we knew we couldn’t manage the walk back. The service was friendly, the food was good, and the portions were huge. Our table had an exceptional view over Loch Goil. We were too busy eating to take photos, but we’d visit again, this time by car.

After a day in the Arrochar Alps, this pub was just the right stop. The staff were great and accommodating, and service was quick and friendly.

The cocktails were nice, but the food was average at best and the service left a lot to be desired. The staff were very rude and unwelcoming. I wouldn’t go back.
