Ruth ran the restaurant by herself and gave us genuinely wonderful service. We ate at Greg’s Bistro both nights, and the food was delicious; the menu’s small, but the quality and wine selection were excellent. The back bar was lively and friendly, with lots of people watching Scotland play. We also appreciated the rear car park, since parking on Callander Main Street gets very busy. We stayed two nights at the Dalgair because it welcomes pets and had strong reviews, and found the clean rooms just as described, with everything we needed. We’d always hoped to visit the Trossach’s, and Callander worked out brilliantly. We’ll be back, this time maybe with our dog. (We didn’t bring it on this trip.)

We’ve just come home from a really lovely night away. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help. Great value too. We’ll definitely return.

The beds were comfy and the room was a decent size, though it could use a bit of updating. Breakfast was included and hit the spot, with the staff being just as welcoming as they’d been throughout our stay. We had a lovely time and no complaints. We’ll be back.

The hotel was spotless and tidy, even though some parts look a little dated. Breakfast was lovely and it was really good value. There’s also a nice little bar attached, and the location’s great.

The four of us were pleasantly surprised by this cosy place. There’s a pub at the back where we had a tasty meal at reasonable prices. Breakfast was included and was wonderful. Just when we thought that was all, the lady asked if we were ready for a full Scottish breakfast, and it was great. Our room was spacious, comfortable and bright, with a big bathroom too. The town and its people were friendly and polite. I’d happily stay here again, and would certainly recommend it.
