The Waverly turned out to be a great place to stop, and we’ve booked to come back in March. There’s off-street parking for a few bikes, the food is nice, and there’s a decent choice of beer and whisky. Prices are exceptional if you get the timing right, and still fair in peak periods. We only ended up here because another large hotel in the area wouldn’t answer the phone or come to the lobby. Probably the best thing that could’ve happened.

Our family had a fantastic weekend here, from 6/12/24 to 8/12/24. There were eight adults, one baby and two dogs. The service was excellent, the food exceptional, and the rooms spacious and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks to everyone for making it such a memorable stay. We’ll certainly be back, and would recommend the hotel for comfort, entertainment and value for money.

Breakfast was really good, with plenty of choice, and the location was good too. The staff were friendly, and I’d recommend staying here. The room was fine, except I wasn’t happy about being woken at 4am when someone in the adjoining room took their dog out to the toilet. One other annoyance was the hot water dispenser. You have to pump the water to make a cup of tea, and it’d be easier to have pots of boiling water put on the table when needed.

The room, breakfast and staff were all great during my one-night stop while hiking the Rob Roy Way. The only downside was the noise at night. It’s on the high street, and the cars and lorries were quite loud.
