Caravan by Camber Sands 2

The location is a real plus, with the beach very close by. Staff were nice and helpful, the food tasted good, and there were plenty of things to do, including archery, climbing a wall, the pool slide, and enjoyable evening entertainment. Our caravan was meant for eight, but it only had seven pillows, some bedding and a cover were missing, and there were just four chairs, a few of them wobbly when you leaned back. Cleanliness was the bigger problem. We arrived 40 minutes early and were asked to wait while it was being cleaned, but the windows were still dirty, popcorn and other bits were under the sofa cushions, and there were utensils that weren't ours. Cigarette ends had been left in the planter outside too.

The long wait at The Boathouse ended with us leaving without eating. Nobody explained the delay or seemed to have things organised. At the fish and chip place in the park, staff got our order wrong, rolled their eyes, and showed obvious irritation. They were very rude and came across as racist, and we felt completely unwelcome. We'd paid a significant amount for our weekend at Camber Sands Holiday Park, so the condition of the caravan was especially disappointing. It was extremely dusty and dirty, and that triggered breathing problems for members of our group who have asthma. Cleanliness should be a basic standard. Staff around the park generally seemed uninterested in helping, which set a bad tone from the start. It was a huge letdown, with no fun at all. Serious improvements are needed.

The Heaven caravan was spotless and the service was fantastic. The private host's place was dirty, though, worse than any I'd seen before. Camber sand, 25/05/2026, private host.

We like the site's position, just across the road from the beach, and I enjoy walking the dog by the sea. The caravan was lovely, clean, and didn't seem too old. We bring our dog, and sometimes the caravans can be a bit tatty. It's quieter at this time of year, though noisy neighbours spoiled Saturday night this visit. They were outside smoking, laughing, and talking at 12.45am, which woke me. Bad luck, rather than Parkdean's fault. This is a handy place if you don't have a car. Both times I've stayed, I've seen people arrive with luggage by bus or taxi, and there's a railway station in Rye. My one complaint about Parkdean sites generally is that we pay extra to bring the dog, but he can't come into any on-site facilities, including the bar. Aside from that, it's a great base for a holiday.
