The grounds are pretty and the location makes it easy to get around. The hotel is quirky and historic, with so much to look at. It was quiet during our stay as there wasn't an event on, and it was fun to have a drink in the little bar. I've never stayed anywhere with a giant wooden wall hiding a secret door to the bathroom!

A quirky, intimate and friendly wedding venue, and a real talking point with the guests. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. The rooms are gorgeous, and there's plenty of garden for guests to wander around and drink champagne. Very highly recommended!

The room was gorgeous, especially the four-poster bed and huge, luxurious bathroom, and breakfast was good quality. I arrived after 10pm, but the owner and another staff member were still there to welcome me, both really lovely. It feels like a magical, beautiful old place. I'm already trying to think of reasons to come back.

We went to an evening wedding do and had a really good time. The hog roast was delicious, and there were fireworks too. I liked being able to move between all the smaller rooms, much better than being stuck in one big room with the disco blasting. Anstey Hall is a lovely characterful building and seems a perfect wedding venue. 😊

I’ve stayed here three times and still love it. I’m fond of quirky places, and there’s plenty to look at in the astonishing furnishings. You can wander around, and they even have an honesty bar where you serve yourself. The owner lives on site, and he’s funny, intelligent, honest, and says things as they are. This place deserves more stars than I can give it. I’ll be back.
