We slept like babes, even though the bed was softer than we’re used to. The Victorian villa was very comfortable for our three nights, and the hosts had thought of everything a guest might need. Nothing was too much bother. Breakfasts were delicious with lots of choice, and there was cake on arrival plus plenty of snacks whenever we wanted them. They’d light the cosy fire on request. We’ll be back.

The hosts were what made our stay at Gowanlea special. Nothing was too much trouble, and we’d definitely stay again when we’re back in Campbeltown. The rooms were wonderful, with a spacious living room, comfy couches and a shelf well stocked with snacks and treats. Breakfast was hearty too.

The breakfast alone is worth a visit. John is a great host and made me feel welcome and at home. You get privacy and a chance to relax on the ground floor of their family home. It’s the best B+B I’ve ever visited, a lovely place to stop and unwind in or around the area. Thanks again.

The owners were lovely and the service impeccable. They were so inclusive and understanding with our two kids with additional needs. Our room was gorgeous and spotlessly clean, and there was loads of freshly cooked, delicious food. What a wonderful stay. We can’t wait to return.

Luxurious is the word for it, better than some 5 star hotels we’ve stayed in. The host was amazing, friendly and never intrusive. There were snacks to hand and beautiful cake made available in the lounge, and breakfast was plentiful with whatever you wanted. Fantastic place to stay, absolutely recommend it.
