St. Stephens Guest House

It was peaceful and private, and we had such a lovely stay. Everything we wanted to see in Canterbury was under a ten minute walk away, with gorgeous river and town views along the route. Our room was spotless and cozy, with a handy little storage space and wardrobe for clothes and luggage. The bathroom was bright and spacious, and being able to adjust the shower pressure was a nice surprise. We chose the breakfast option and each morning our lovely hosts served a delicious full English in their adorable breakfast room. The kindness and hospitality we received were incredible. We couldn't have asked for a better place, and we'd absolutely stay here again when we're back in Canterbury.

The room and bathroom were comfortable and very clean, and breakfast was really tasty. Canterbury is an easy 10-15 minute walk away. Parking is available, though we arrived via Canterbury west station, which is nearby. I'd definitely recommend it.

The property was beautiful and well looked after, and the location made it easy to walk to both central Canterbury and the train station. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The hosts were so kind and friendly, and breakfast had excellent food and plenty of choice. We had a wonderful stay and only wish it had been longer. We'd stay here again if we return to Canterbury.

David kindly let us leave our car at the Guest House on our last day so we could spend longer in Canterbury. Parking in town can be difficult or very expensive. It was also an easy 10-15 minute walk to Canterbury Cathedral. Sandra and David were lovely hosts. We arrived 50 minutes early, and Sandra still gave us a warm welcome. The room was very clean, and the breakfast form for the following morning worked perfectly. We both had a delicious full English. We don't normally give five stars, but four wouldn't do St. Stephens Guest House justice. We'd recommend staying here and would happily return to Canterbury.
