We spent three days here and the kids were having such a good time they didn’t want to leave. There’s a great outdoor space for them, plus a pool table, and the bedrooms are a good size for the eight people it sleeps. The huge kitchen has three built in ovens, USB charging points all over and a two zone speaker system for when you’re done with the TV and want music instead. It felt like home. Swallow Falls is a must, and there are lovely walks nearby. The shops and pubs are only a few minutes’ drive away. We’ll be back.

We could head out on several walks without needing to use the car, which was a real bonus. We booked both the cottage and the house, and found them beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and a lovely seating area in the garden. There was also a well made play area, though we didn’t have children with us. We’d happily return.

The cottage is well kitted out, dog friendly and in a great location, with room for two families. I’m a bit sorry not to give it five stars, because the kitchen is fabulous and has three ovens, but there’s no dishwasher. That would be an easy fix, and if one were installed I’d book again. An EV charging point would make it even better, though I wouldn’t take off a star for that. The cottage is very close to the main road, so it can get noisy unless you use earplugs.

We all had a wonderful time here with my daughter, her husband and my two granddaughters. It’s an easy place to reach, with plenty of off road parking, and there’s a pub and shop fairly close by. It also makes a handy base for exploring lots of places in north Wales. The house had a glorious view, even with part of the A5 running past. Across the road there’s a small waterfall and a lovely babbling river, which you can hear all the time. I used to listen to the water and owls as I fell asleep. There’s a small camp site by the river and a guest house next door to the Airbnb. You can either get away from it all or do as much as you like here. We stayed at the end of August and would recommend it.

There are plenty of walks, waterfalls, castles, including the I'm a Celebrity castle, and attractions such as Zip World right on the doorstep. We stayed midweek in one of these newly owned, renovated cottages, and the setting was stunning. The place was beautifully presented after a very recent full refurb, and had everything we needed. The private outdoor play area was great for the children, with campfire seating for adults, and there was ample parking. You can choose a well presented two bed cottage for four or a four bed one that easily sleeps eight. We hope to stay again.
