The rooms were unclean, with thick dust everywhere, and we were horrified when we arrived. I had to buy cleaning wipes before I could use anything. I usually stay in a Travelodge, but chose to support an independent business this time and honestly it was awful. My friend, mum and I stayed for two nights and left today. I booked because it looked clean and well priced online. The shower in my en-suite didn’t work and only ran cold. My mum used the shared bathroom, which was filthy and had no toilet paper or hand wash. When she asked the so-called housekeeper about it, he just shrugged without apologising and made her feel she was wrong for asking for the bare minimum. I don’t recommend this place. I feel like I need to bathe in bleach to feel clean after that experience. I’d leave zero stars if I could.

My partner and I stayed for two nights while visiting Cardiff. We felt welcome and safe, and got some great tips for our road trip through Wales. I’d recommend this place to all my LGBT friends and family. There are also two very cute, fluffy cats.

It took weeks to get my money back. I kept going back and forth with Expedia, and Ty rosa said the refund had been processed, but a week later I still had nothing. In the end I contacted PayPal and reported the case, and they refunded me right away. Really awful customer service from ty rosa. I definitely won't book again.

The service was really nice, and I was very happy with my visit while in town for a hockey match. It's a quiet area, and the city is interesting. The place itself was cozy, with a room and bathroom and the basic things you need. There was even an iron and hair dryer, which was a plus, plus coffee and tea in the room. Free street parking too. I'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

Even after all these years, this is the first place that comes to mind when I think about visiting Wales. They greeted us with hot tea and stroopwafel, made amazing meals, and were so welcoming throughout our stay. It had a huge effect on how I remember Cardiff and Wales. Maybe I'll get back there someday. For now, it's still one of the most amazing places I've stayed anywhere.
