Caron made us feel very welcome and gave us useful advice about places to eat. After walking 17 miles on the first day of Hadrian's Wall, my daughter and I were too tired to go out, so we ordered food from Printyard, which was excellent. We arrived in the late afternoon and Caron showed us to our large twin room. In the morning we had a full English breakfast, with cereals, yogurt, fruit, juice and porridge, plus our choice of cooked breakfast and tea or coffee. I'd highly recommend this friendly B&B, especially if you're walking Hadrian's Wall. It's not far from the Sands centre, where you can get your second passport stamp.

The landlady was warm and welcoming, and breakfast was excellent. My room was comfortable and very clean. It's a great B&B close to central Carlisle, and I thoroughly recommend it.

Caron was so friendly and welcoming, and lovely to chat with. Her home cooked breakfast was delicious and nicely presented, with cereal and bread or toast available as alternatives. The place has all the amenities, a distinctive, comfortable interior and really comfortable furniture. It's only a 10 minute walk into town, and I have no complaints. We stopped for one night between Scotland and England, but I wished we'd stayed longer. It's a very comfortable place with charming decor throughout.

The owner was very friendly, and the room was fantastic. We stayed for one night on 23 October, and the place was absolutely fantastic. It would be 4.5 stars if Google allowed half stars. My wife had asked before we arrived about gluten free breakfast choices but got no reply, and fruit turned out to be the only option for her. The cooked breakfast was very nice, though.
