The gardens were a delight, and the owner was charming. My single room had no en suite, but the shared bathroom was nearby, spotless, and stocked with plenty of shampoo and bubble bath. There was lots of hot water, and a wash basin in my room. The room had recently been redecorated with a new carpet and felt very pleasant. Tea making facilities were provided, along with access to a fridge and microwave; cereals and milk were available for breakfast. I stayed one night and found The Grange clean and welcoming. I’d book again if I’m in the area. June 2016

The mattress was a bit lumpy, which was my one criticism. Otherwise I was pleased with the stay: the landlady was nice, the room was clean, and it was good value. I hadn’t noticed the bathroom was shared until I arrived, though I should have read the details more carefully. Continental breakfast is included, and I understand you can get a cooked one for an extra charge.

The fridge was free to use and had the ingredients for a continental breakfast, including cereals, which was welcome. It’s basic, clean accommodation for a night, though doors closing and other guests talking can make it a bit noisy. Earplugs sorted it for me. Better quality room doors would go a long way.

The hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, and the rooms were perfect. It’s a lovely bed and breakfast with a fantastic feel. A great place to stay if you’re ever nearby!

The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, and the proprietors were friendly and welcoming. They were happy to help with anything. Brilliant stay, and I’d definitely come back.
