The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Carnoustie and only five minutes on foot from the beach. It's quiet and has a large enclosed garden that's ideal for a dog. Inside, though, things felt tired and outdated and could use renovation and upkeep. The bathrooms were old, and the showers had little to no pressure. The hot tub doesn't get serviced all week either, so after a week in the sun it wasn't pleasant…🤢

Phil and Marta were lovely hosts, a pleasure to talk with, and served delicious hot breakfasts each morning. We stayed three nights in May in a great room with a sea view, a fridge and a large bathroom. The train, beach and town are a short walk away, and the train to Broughty Ferry was quick and easy. We'd book again without hesitation!

Our room was so cosy, with comfortable beds, a big bathroom, robes and slippers, and a huge tub. The house itself was beautiful, quaint and full of ornaments. Marta was especially lovely. I had to hug her when we left! She runs part of the wellness centre, cooks breakfast and gives massages. She's amazing.

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts through a very chilly, wet couple of days between Christmas and New Year, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Marta cooked breakfast to order from a menu with lots of choices, and the breakfasts were amazing. There were good vegetarian options too.

The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the sea view is brilliant. Phil and Marta are a lovely couple who run this B&B and make you feel at ease. Marta is a great breakfast host. Just watch out if Phil's on duty, he's got a habit of burning your egg :) kidding, Phil! We loved staying here and can happily recommend it to tourists and golfers.
