I've been to Scotland a fair few times, and this is the best place I've stayed so far. The owners are great, friendly, helpful, and know the area well. The cottage is fantastic for setting off to explore. If the weather's good, sitting in the garden at night is a must, the sky is amazing.

The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed to cook. We were treated to homemade shortbread, mince pies, fresh flowers, and bucks fizz, such a lovely touch. We had an amazing stay and will definitely come back one day.

We saw deer, red Squirrels, and lots and lots of different birds in the garden. The cottage was so quiet and secluded, just what we wanted, and very comfortable and homely. Steve and Jean were lovely when we arrived and gave us scones and fresh flowers. Two weeks didn't feel long enough. I hope we get to go back soon. Thank you both for having us.

We had such a relaxing time at Swallow Lodge, with lots of different walks to choose from. The owners are lovely and leave you to yourself. They're at the end of the drive, but the house feels private. We'd definitely book again. Try Croy beach and loch doon.

We spent a week here with the kids and really enjoyed it. The owners were great, and it's a great base for visiting some wonderful places. It was also nice to have a chance to chill out in the evenings.
