White Lodge B&B

On our second stay at White Lodge, we found the bedroom and ensuite comfortable and very well equipped with high quality products. Breakfast had a huge choice and was delicious. Ann and Martin are super hosts, and their lovely home sits in a beautiful rural setting. This B&B has thoroughly earned its 5* rating.

You'll need a car or taxi to reach The White Lodge, since it's out in the countryside, though Lewes and Glyndebourne aren't very far away. Once there, Ann and Martin are welcoming, accommodating hosts with plenty of local knowledge, and they clearly know how to run a B&B. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices. Ann's fruit salad was a huge bowl of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, a good example of the care here. The house and furnishings are modern, immaculate, comfortable, and high quality. Our room was spacious and quiet, well appointed, and looked out over the beautiful garden. The White Lodge really does deserve its reputation.

Breakfast was such a treat, with an amazing range and quality that made it easy to get out of bed, even though the bed was so comfortable. The room was gorgeous and thoughtfully equipped, with every detail considered and nothing we wished for. We loved the stylish but welcoming house, and the views of pheasants in the garden and all the birdlife in the woods behind. From the lovely booking communications to the warm welcome, we had a wonderful stay at White Lodged B+B. It's the best B+B we've ever stayed in, and we've been to quite a few. We'd highly recommend it and hope to return. Thank you!

This was our second visit to White Lodge, and one of the best B&Bs my wife and I have stayed in over the years. Ann and Martin welcomed us warmly into their superb home. The accommodation was spotless and finished to a very high standard. We stayed in the Woodland room, which was just right, with glorious trees outside and wild deer coming close to the house. Martin cooked high quality breakfasts expertly, and the polenta, ginger, and brownie cakes were delicious. We'll definitely return to explore more of the East Sussex countryside and South Downs.
