Seayr Hotel

The apartment was spacious and lovely, but outside noise went on past 2am. People kept drinking and making a racket, and it seemed rain was the only thing that stopped them sitting outside. Luckily, it rained for most of our stay. There was also a leak from the toilet every time we flushed. We told reception, someone inspected it and said they’d get it fixed soon, but it wasn’t. When we checked out, reception seemed clueless, even though the cleaner had told them about it too. They had to let the apartment out again that same day, so the next people could end up with the same problem.

It’s a pleasant, small site near the beach, and a good choice if you want somewhere quiet. The vans were brand new and very nice, though the time of year may have helped keep things peaceful. I booked a van and upgraded to gold, expecting a seated decking area like the one in the advert. Instead, there were steps up to a small walkway at the front door. I’m not sure any of the site vans had decking, so I found that a little misleading. Still, it was a good break.

The beach was quite close, which was nice, but the kids were walking around shouting at 1am and blasting music one night. My mam, dad and I stayed in the “flats” last year. They looked derelict, the blinds were broken and the place was too dirty. Getting up to them was horrible too, because the metal stairs were incredibly steep. It was an okay place to stay.

The site is handy for the village of Chapel St Leonards, the beach, bus stops and a convenience shop. Buses run frequently to Skegness, Mablethorpe and Chapel St Leonards. It’s well kept, and Hoseasons offers some holidays here.
