Holiday Inn Rochester Chatham by IHG

Chloe and Michelle helped make the evening such an easy, enjoyable experience. The food was carefully prepared, came in good portions, and tasted excellent. They were friendly and attentive without hovering, checking in at the right moments and keeping everything relaxed. They also caught the little details, which really added to the evening. A very solid experience, and I'd happily come back. Credit to them both.

The check-in line around 3:30pm was long and barely moved. Once settled, though, the room was perfectly nice, with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. Staff were friendly and knew their stuff. Breakfast was good and fairly priced, and the pool area was decent, with a sauna and steam room, though the hot tub wasn't working during our visit. The gym is very small. We came for one night while spending the day in Rochester. It's a 10-15 minute drive into town, and getting an Uber was easy. Overall, a good hotel.

We stayed for three days with a large group, and Azar gave us wonderfully professional service at the bar and with the food. Her hospitality alone makes the hotel worth a stay. The restaurant is decent and the service is very good. Parking is easy, and supermarkets are nearby. It's away from a high street, which also means it's easier to reach the motorway.

The main drawback is the setting off a busy dual carriageway, where we could hear traffic throughout the evening. Otherwise, we had no complaints and would happily stay again. Our room was clean, spacious and nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Izabel was especially attentive and friendly, took time to chat, and made me feel welcome. We had a very pleasant stay.
