We were four, and everyone left happy. The food was really good, with generous portions and everything cooked well. The prices are very fair, especially compared with more upmarket restaurants where we've had much worse meals. The friendly, charismatic staff and all the interesting decor give the Cross Keys loads of charm. There’s enough bric-à-brac to start an antiques shop. It’s rare to find an independent traditional pub serving food this good at these prices, so we’ll be back.

The service was really good, and the homemade curry we had on Saturday evening was lovely. Definitely recommend.

Lovely, friendly staff, and they even put out a biscuit for our friend's dog. The Sunday roast was honestly the best I've ever had. Highly recommend.

I had a lovely stay in this gorgeous pub. The rooms were cosy, full of character, and very clean, and the food was excellent. The owners were friendly and attentive too. It has a really welcoming feel and a huge amount of history.

Had a really good stay for a couple of nights. The place was very clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and everyone was friendly. Breakfast was cooked by the gaffer and his missus, and they were happy to work around what time suited us. There are plenty of other places nearby to eat and drink, so you won't get stuck for options. Parking is very tight, though, so if your motor is big, take a look first.
