The Mendip is on cheddar bridge park

The campsite is clean, tidy and nicely laid out, with great facilities and a camping area as flat and neat as a bowling green. There's a cycle trail right nearby and lovely walks in the area. Pubs, places to eat, Cheddar Gorge and the caves are all easy to reach on foot. The car boot market is a short walk away on Sundays.

David was so kind and happy to have a long chat, and Tracey showed me her beautiful potted flowers. The park was really well kept, and I feel lucky to have stayed there. I'd recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to park up.

There were lots of rabbits around, and the site was really tidy. The toilets and showers were clean and well kept, though the water could've been a bit hotter, just part of camping. A lovely little tent stop in Cheddar, with free WiFi and a handy outdoor kitchen area with a kettle, fridge and microwave. They also had lots of information about local activities.

We'd definitely stay again. The grass pitch was spacious, flat and easy to park on, and Cheddar was about a 15-minute walk away. Check-in was easy, and the map they gave us was a lovely touch that made exploring simpler. The entrance was confusing at first, and we accidentally went into the site next door, but they were used to that and sent us the right way. We barely heard any noise from the path or school, just the crows in the trees. Most guests kept to quiet hours, though someone nearby was noisy and drinking late on our second night before eventually quieting down. The toilets and showers were lovely and clean.
