No 38 The Park

We really liked the log fires when they were lit, though we did miss them on the day they weren't. The staff were great, and there were lots of thoughtful touches around the hotel. Our two-night package included breakfast, dinner on one night and two cocktails, and it was excellent value. The room was gorgeous, and we had a lovely meal. We'd happily come back.

Breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced. The hotel is about a straight ten-minute walk from central Cheltenham. We were welcomed warmly, and the room was gorgeous, with lovely decor, a roll-top bath and a really comfortable bed. We'd definitely stay again 💞

We enjoyed our stay and would come back. The staff were friendly, and we didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. It's about ten minutes on foot to the centre, and once we'd parked we left the car there. The hotel's own parking is limited to five or six first-come spaces. When those were full, we used nearby zoned street parking for £6 a night, with permits arranged by the hotel. Our standard room was described as “Cosy.” It wasn't big, but there was room for an armchair, dressing table with a paid snack tray, bedside tables and large lamps. We were welcomed with complimentary port and chocolate tiffin, a nice touch. The bathroom was spacious, nicely tiled, and had robes, towels and Bramley products. The wardrobe dresser only had hanging space for shirts and jackets, but the bedroom hooks helped for a short stay. The coffee machine, kettle, tea and coffee were in the dresser. We only found the minibar fridge, and the oat milk sachets for hot drinks, in the cupboard at the bottom of the wardrobe when checking out.

Hermes absolutely loved the dog bed, and our guests liked the style and decor of the rooms. The breakfasts were great too. Alisdair, Ben, Remi and the whole team made our wedding ceremony and drinks reception run brilliantly, from planning through to the day itself. Communication was fantastic, they were relaxed and easy to work with, and nothing felt like too much trouble. It was just what we wanted for a venue. Thank you so much, Matt & Sammy.
