We were comfortable and felt well looked after, with shops, bars and restaurants conveniently close. On request, receptionist Andrea moved us to a different room. It was a spacious grande studio with windows on two sides overlooking the race course, and there was plenty of room for us and our dog. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a full-sized fridge.
We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite overlooking Chester Racecourse, though it was a shame there wasn’t a race on. Check-in staff were friendly, and the room was clean and tidy with everything you’d need in the kitchenette. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend it and stay again if I’m in the area.
The room was gorgeous, spacious and had comfortable beds. Every part of our stay was great, and the reception staff were so kind. Andrea especially made us feel welcome and shared lots of useful information about Chester and the hotel. I really couldn’t fault the place.
The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I can’t compliment them enough. I stayed in the Ascot Suite apartment the night before my wedding in Chester. The spacious lounge and kitchen, plus the panoramic Racecourse view, made a great setting for photos of me and the Groomsmen getting ready. The separate bedroom was a good size, and the bed was comfortable for the night. A lovely place to stay in a lovely city.
The location is hard to fault, and the price was reasonable. The room could really use a refurb and fresh paint. Our TV was poor too, with a patchy picture and no signal on 95% of the channels. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep, it’ll do.
