Edgar House

We loved spending the evenings together at Edgar House. It felt cosy despite being grand and spacious, and the thoughtful decor made it feel like a home. Our family had a wonderful time there for a 60th birthday, and the house worked well for all ages, with everything we needed under one roof. The river in Chester was right outside, and shops and bars were an easy walk away, so we had plenty to do during the day. The house itself was such a lovely place to stay. Thanks for having us, we all hope to visit Edgar House again sometime.

We stayed at Edgar House last week and, wow, we’ve never been anywhere like it. The photos don’t do it justice. Everything was immaculate, with individually themed bedrooms finished to a high standard and lovely en-suite bathrooms. There’s so much care in the details. The kitchen had loads of crockery and glasses for all kinds of drinks, high spec appliances and plenty of fridge space, even a little fridge in the phone box. We got competitive in the games room, and the movie room really felt like our own cinema. Outside, the beautiful garden has different seating spots overlooking the river Dee. It made us feel like royalty, with people passing the gate stopping to look. There’s secure parking for 10 cars, which was great. Set on the city walls, it’s an ideal spot for a river stroll or a wander around Chester. Bars and restaurants are close enough that we didn’t need the car. We’d definitely come back, or try one of your other properties. Thank you.

Caroline made booking easy and was always available when we needed help. She was one of the most helpful and accommodating hosts we’ve come across. We spent the weekend at Edgar House for my friend’s Hen Do, and the place was incredible from beginning to end. It’s spacious and stunning, with beautiful decor and luxury touches that made the stay feel special. For a special getaway, we couldn’t recommend it more.

We had a caterer come in to make Sunday brunch, and it was outstanding. The birthday cake we had delivered was just as good. Caroline was attentive and easy to work with, making everything seamless. My family spent three lovely days at Edgar House over the weekend. It’s clean and well maintained, with seven roomy, comfortable ensuite bedrooms. The river views and easy walk into town made it a perfect spot. We’re already planning another stay. We’ve found the right house for us all to meet up in.
