Wildes Inns

The ballroom and gardens made a beautiful setting, and our guests were impressed. We stayed in the spacious Minnie Suite, which was comfortable and had everything we needed. The food arrived hot and efficiently for everyone, and hardly a plate was left empty. Charlie played all the songs we requested and kept the evening lively. Breakfast the next morning had plenty of choice, with attentive, friendly service from the breakfast team. Our wedding at Wildes Inn was at the end of last month, and the day went smoothly from start to finish. James, our coordinator, guided us through the process and made sure everything stayed on plan. The wedding team was quick to answer our questions during the lead-up, which made planning much easier and less stressful. Thank you to all the staff. We couldn't have asked for a better day, and we'd recommend Wildes Inn to anyone looking for a lovely wedding venue and great service.

We gathered at Wildes for my mother's 90th birthday, with 16 family members travelling from different directions. Being close to the M1 was handy. Everyone enjoyed the meal, which came promptly after we'd pre-ordered. We brought a cake that arrived on the robot trolley before dessert, much to the children's delight. The restaurant also brought out a slice on a platter with “Happy Birthday” iced on it, and a staff member presented the birthday girl with a bouquet from the hotel's shop. The flowers were attractive and reasonably priced. We'd visited Wildes a few months earlier and thought it would be a good place for the celebration. We met in the spacious foyer, with its comfortable sofas, then were warmly welcomed into the appealing restaurant. It was a really pleasant occasion. The half-price February offer was a great deal, and we'd gladly return and recommend the place.

The dance floor was where I spent the whole night. Wildes' house DJ played every must-play and stuck to our do-not-play list, with one great track after another. I wish we could do the day again, though perhaps I can talk my husband into a vow renewal in a few years 😂 The wedding was in January, and the sales package made it far more affordable than many venues we looked at, some of which wanted £30k+ for a similar level of hospitality. You'd never have guessed the price from the luxurious 5* experience. Everything felt perfect. Liberty looked after us professionally, and when her shift ended Andrea was wonderful too. We felt in good hands all day, and Jack was there to support us when we arrived the night before. If anything went wrong, we didn't notice. The food was amazing, and we got so many compliments. I was gutted not to eat more because of the wedding nerves. Even the meals for guests with dietary requirements, including some awkward ones, were excellent. Matt at the bar was brilliant, especially at the end of the night, and so patient 😂 Booking at Wildes was a no-brainer for us.

Jane from housekeeping deserves a special mention. She was so friendly and considerate while clearing dishes from our room, and that extra thoughtfulness meant a lot. The chef in the evening was warm and kind too, and even took the time to thank us for our menu choices. The food was lovely. We stayed the night before the wedding with family, and all the rooms were spotless and ready for check-in. The rooms we used were spotless, with attention to detail we noticed. The wedding day itself ran smoothly without a hitch. The in-house DJ and Wendy at Designs by Daykin were both great choices and took a lot of stress out of organizing. Alexandra helped us feel at ease and kept everything well organized from the start. When she was out of the office, Liberty kept the communication going and replied to emails quickly, which was reassuring during planning. Thanks to everyone at Wildes Inn for making the day so special. We'll always remember it fondly 🤍
