The peaceful setting and rear garden view made our stay feel calm, and the room was warm, clean and comfortable, with lovely beds, good toiletries, and plenty of tea and coffee. The house has a lot of character, with a sweeping staircase up to the room. Parking opposite was a real bonus, and self check-in went smoothly. The only snag was the TV remote, which needs retuning. I mentioned it to the cleaner in the morning and we managed with the TV’s own controls. We’d happily return to this beautiful place. Thank you!

Bishops palace gardens are right next door, and the town centre is only about a five-minute walk away, with plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Our room was clean, and the location in the cathedral grounds was quiet and unusual. The gardens are lovely, though dogs aren’t allowed there.

A couple of useful things to know: there’s no fridge in the room, but you can get a freezer bag and ice block from the entrance. The 4 Canon Lane sign is on the front door, while a different name appears on the building, which was a little confusing. There’s an iron and ironing board in the room, though I don’t think they were listed. We had the huge superior room, a good shower and a lovely, quiet stay. The hallway and atrium are beautiful. We’ll stay here again when we’re in Chichester.

We found parking easy, and the location is beautiful and central. Emails before our stay were answered quickly and helpfully. The apartment looked smart and attractive, and it was lovely and warm, with a very comfortable bed. I’d suggest a blind for the bathroom window, as the frosted glass didn’t feel private enough once the light was on.

We had a really lovely time and plan to stay again. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and kept immaculately. We were lucky enough to meet one of the people who looks after the place, and they couldn’t have been nicer. The house is within the Cathedral precincts, right in central Chichester, so it’s hard to be closer to everything.
