Penny was such a lovely host, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The apartment is spacious, very clean and clearly well cared for, with a pleasant garden view. The kitchen has everything you need, including plenty for a cooked breakfast as well as cereal, bread, jams, tea and coffee. It’s also handy for Goodwood and Weald & Downland Living Museum.

There’s loads to enjoy nearby, from lovely walks and the gardens at West Dean to a pub just a short stroll away. Goodwood was only five minutes away for my partner’s work, so the location worked out perfectly. Penny has thought of so many little things, and we felt properly spoiled in this fabulous place. We’ll definitely be back 😊

Breakfast in the peaceful garden sunshine was a real highlight. The kitchen is stocked with everything from bread to local sausages, plus a Nespresso machine and a bowl full of pods. The cottage has all the facilities you could need, and the decoration and fittings are top quality. The host made us feel very welcome. Souter's Cottage is worth every penny, and I’d happily recommend it for a luxurious, peaceful break.

We had an early start the next day, so didn’t get much time to enjoy the place. Still, it was a lovely stay. The annexe was spotless, spacious, really quiet, and had everything we needed for a night away. The fridge was stocked with essentials, including a bottle of wine for my other half. Thanks ❤️

The bed was comfy and the TV was good. We brought a laptop and HDMI cable, though it could also play films and things from a phone. There was loads of food, which was awesome, and we had a lovely time. Just a heads-up, the toilet door is very thin, so you can hear everything. It didn’t bother us since we’re used to that in a small flat, but it might be an issue for some.
