We needed a quick bite before a show, after a last-minute stop at the theatre. It’s a sports bar with several big screens. We got there around 5pm while food was being served and shared ribs, buffalo chicken and corn ribs. Really tasty, though all of it was a bit spicy; plain corn might have balanced things out. The menu had only been out for a couple of days, so there’s time to adjust it.

It was cold outside, but the pub felt warm and welcoming. We came in for an unplanned family meal and were greeted by friendly, professional staff. The menu is concise, with some good winter specials, and the food arrived quickly. Both the quality and portions were very good. I’d happily bring the family back.

Shelly and the team arranged a wake for my mother in the conservatory, serving a buffet for 50 people. They met all our requests, including providing a screen for a memory video. There’s a public car park nearby. The service was excellent and I highly recommend them.

We had a Christmas buffet for 25 in the back room. The room was beautifully decorated and had a great atmosphere, and the food was probably the best I’ve had. A lovely occasion, highly recommended.

I don’t usually write reviews, but wanted to thank the staff and share a few words about our one-night stay at george and dragon, chichester. We felt unexpectedly welcome. Room 5 was on the ground floor, with twin beds, clean linen, comfortable mattresses and pillows, and a clean bathroom with a hot shower. Breakfast was continental and adequate, though a few more choices like eggs or a full English would be welcome. Great value for money overall, and we’d be happy to return. Gurjinder
