The Old Store Guest House

Matt was warm and chatty, and Mum and I had a lovely stay. The guest house felt cosy and welcoming when we arrived, and was beautifully decorated. Booking was easy, the confirmation emails were clear and helpful, and chatting with Matt on Wattsapp was great. Our top-floor twin room was a joy after a long journey. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, with a snug blanket that was especially welcome for my back issues. Both the room and ensuite shower room were warm and spotless, and the extra touches made it feel special. Breakfast was delicious, with cereals, fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, plus a divine cooked option. We’ll definitely stay again next time we’re away. Thank you so much. Rebecca & Sue

The countryside around here is so peaceful, perfect for a morning run, and dinner at the Anglesey Arms was very nice. Our accommodation was clean and tidy, everything worked, and the arrival instructions were easy to follow. Breakfast was fantastic too. A warm, welcoming home from home, thoroughly recommend.

Breakfast was tasty and set us up well for the day, with a chef who was full of energy and really friendly. Our room was a good size, the bed very comfortable, and the en-suite was tidy. There was tea, coffee and snacks in the room, plus proper milk. Self check-in was straightforward, with clear instructions and contact details if we needed help. Packed lunches can be arranged too, which we only discovered after arriving late. We’ll take advantage next time. A lovely place at a good price, and we’d definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.

Matt was a charming host, and my breakfast was really tasty. The dining room did feel a little cool, though, just like my room, which was chilly. The radiator dial was awkwardly tucked behind the desk where I couldn’t reach it. Apart from that, everything was very clean and the single room was just right for one night. I’d definitely recommend the Old Store House.
