Breakfast was included, and we felt very well looked after throughout our two nights in February with friends. We had a delicious dinner in the bar both evenings, and only later realised a celebrity had been there the first night. The staff were all friendly, especially Bex, who greeted us on arrival and served most of our meals. She was engaging and couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great time and hope to book another visit before long.

After a long walk with the dog, we stopped in for lunch and a well-earned beer. They gave us a warm welcome and a lovely table by the log fire. The service and food were top notch. I had the best sausage and mash I've had in ages, and my wife enjoyed her toasted sandwich too.

Dinner at the pub was a highlight, the food felt elevated and tasted delicious. We ordered fish and chips, sausages with mushrooms and mashed potatoes, then sticky toffee pudding. Loved our stay here.

We were too full for dessert, but the chocolate and orange brownie torte with vanilla ice cream instead of orange sorbet was too tempting, and we weren't disappointed. Our mains were fish and chips and a chicken and mushroom shortcrust pie, plus an extra side of vegetables that we really didn't need because the portions were so hearty. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully, and the flavours were sublime. We also shared potted pork liver and duck and orange pâté, which was delicious. With a pint of beer, a large still water, one starter, two mains and dessert, the bill came to £75.00. A bargain, and I'd highly recommend this cosy, welcoming pub to anyone visiting Chipping Camden or nearby. We sat by the open fire and had an incredible meal.

We didn't stay here, but came for the food and were really impressed. The fish and chips were the best I've had in a long time, and the pie was amazing too. Service was faultless. 10/10 all round.
