We had a relaxing stay at Shepherds cottage, which was beautifully maintained and in a great location. The facilities were good, and we'd happily consider coming back. Just a couple of small gripes kept it from five stars: there seemed to be dog hair on the sofa, and there were no washing machine capsules.

Foscot is a quiet little village, and this spotless cottage has a lovely, peaceful feel. The front and side gardens are beautiful and well looked after, and the amenities are all there. Supermarkets and the cooperative store are a little way off, but it still felt worth every penny.
