Heronshaw House

After another place cancelled at the last minute, we spent two hours searching for somewhere that would take dogs. Mike had availability and was incredibly accommodating with our sudden arrival and our dogs. The house is tidy and beautiful, surrounded by huge fields, and the breakfast was delicious. Mike, thank you for the wonderful hospitality and stay!

We had such a great stay that we’ve already booked again for next year. Mike and Andrea were wonderful hosts and made my partner, our Greyhound and me feel very welcome for our four nights. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious, clean and finished to a high standard. The place was peaceful and relaxing, and the cooked breakfasts were incredible, with a gluten-free option too. Thank you, Mike and Andrea, for a wonderful stay.

The rooms are gorgeous and really comfortable, and the hosts are great. It feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, yet there are lots of good places nearby. A fabulous hotel, definitely recommend.

This was our second stay at Heronshaw house. It’s the only guest house in the Bournemouth area we’ve ever returned to. The hosts greeted us warmly, and Mike is so accommodating, doing everything he can to make the stay enjoyable. Nothing seems like too much trouble, and the whole experience feels very homely. The setting is extremely peaceful, with lovely gardens and countryside around it, which is ideal if you have a dog. Don’t assume it’ll be noisy just because it’s near the airport. The beaches are only 10-15 minutes away, and it’s lovely to come back to the quiet countryside after a busy day. The rooms are immaculately clean, with good quality bedding and towels and countryside views. The guest lounge is comfortable and welcoming.
