The quiet setting was exactly the break we needed, and we were lucky to have great weather for getting out every day. Julie and Pete had left a generous welcome basket, and the cottage was spotless and stocked with everything we needed. Their recommendations made it easy to find nearby beaches and places to eat, including dog-friendly beaches from the welcome pack. They were kind and flexible, even about checkout, which we really appreciated. We enjoyed it so much that we had breakfast at the beach before heading home, giving Julie time to get ready for the next guests. Thanks, Julie and Pete. We hope the cottage was clean enough when we left! We’ll be back. Harji & Andy xxx

We’d travelled about 200 miles, and Julie and Peter greeted us so warmly that we felt at home straight away. They encouraged us to explore the farm and meet all the animals. The house was welcoming, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. Thanks so much. We’re sure we’ll return, and next time we hope to stay longer. Andrea & Helder

The cottage had everything we needed, though it was a little rough around the edges. That makes sense on a working farm, and we had a great time. The owners were lovely, always ready to help, and the little touches they added for our children made the trip feel special. It’s also well placed for day trips, with almost anywhere we wanted to visit only 20-30 minutes away. We’d happily stay again, and look forward to seeing the owners and dogs, as well as how the big barn turns out. Thanks for making our trip so special.

The children loved the free-roaming chickens and the pigs, and the playground was a welcome extra. The cottage was spotless and had everything we could need. It feels tucked away down winding country roads, but there’s plenty to do within a short drive.

Julie and Peter made us feel very welcome, and there’s lots to enjoy nearby, from country walks to a visit to Dawlish for a pub with real ale. Shops are close too. The cottages suit groups of different sizes, and the working farm has all sorts of animals: llamas, donkeys called Teapot and Mable who love carrots, sheep, chickens and ducks. The donkeys are a beautiful pair.
