We stayed in June and are only getting around to writing this now. The apartment made a great base for walks and exploring the area, with Church Stretton's shops and restaurants close by. Parking beside the house was easy, and the owners made sure we had what we needed and useful local information. It was comfortable and had all the facilities we wanted. We’re looking forward to coming back.

We got together as a family for the bank holiday and stayed in Mackintosh and Darwin. Both apartments were spotless, beautifully furnished, and finished to a really high standard. The beds and bedding were especially comfortable, and the kitchens had everything we could need. Ian and Julie were warm and helpful, while giving us our space. They were around whenever we had questions or wanted tips on walks or places to eat. The peaceful, lovely setting made a great weekend even better. We’d definitely like to return.

The hosts made us feel very welcome, and were friendly and helpful throughout. Arden house is a beautifully restored place, and even though we stayed in the smallest rental, it felt luxurious and comfortable, with everything we needed for a few days away. There are walks in every direction right from the door. I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Church Stretton.

A real highlight was the top floor terrace, with its crenelated edge and coffee spot. The apartments are comfortable and well equipped, set on what feels like a very steep hill. There’s a huge amount of National Trust land within walking distance, ideal for hiking or mountain biking. It’s a fantastic location and I could easily have stayed longer.

The Turret apartment is gorgeous, especially the roof terrace with its wide views across the Shropshire Hills. It’s a lovely place for breakfast or a drink and some nibbles in the evening. Though it sleeps six, including four adults and two children, it works really well for four. The decor feels luxurious and it has everything you need. Great base for walking and exploring, and well worth a stay.
