We spent four days nearby and ended up visiting this lovely pub every day. The food was amazing, the beer selection was great, and the atmosphere, staff and people all made it feel like a little gem. We made some great memories and I'm sure we'll be back.

Lunch, a walk, then back for dinner. Everyone was friendly, and the beer and food were both great. The pie and chips were delicious, and the steak was just right.

Sunday's carvery is a real highlight, with plenty of tasty, well-cooked food and a vegetable tart option for vegetarians and vegans. The chef lets the ingredients speak for themselves and is happy to encourage you to try them. There's a good range of beers and drinks, and service is attentive when it's busy and quick at quieter times. The desserts aren't quite as strong as the mains, though they're still yummy. Great atmosphere too. Our family will be back many times.

The rooms were much better than I expected, and the staff were amazingly friendly. I stopped here during my trip from John o Groats to Lands End. The atmosphere was amazing and the food superb. I can't praise the place highly enough. Definitely worth a visit, and thank you again!

After a wet walk in the hills, we had a booking and settled in at the bar. Everyone was warm and friendly, the beer was excellent, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. The Sunday roast carvery was superb, plentiful and beautifully cooked. We'll definitely be back!
