Q Monument One

Mihai at Customer service was rude, abrupt and uncooperative. I had genuine questions about my booking and told him I had booked Monument Q, then received an email from reservations saying I had been moved to The Loft, a different property. Even though my confirmation number showed I was in The Loft in their system, he wouldn't believe me and insisted I send the email. I accidentally called the property a hotel two or three times. Each time he interrupted to say, 'this is not a hotel', even after I'd acknowledged it the first time. Very immature. Check-in is at 4pm, which seemed late to me as a regular traveller coming from New York, where my previous hotel checkout was at 11. I had big bags and didn't want to haul them around the city. Mihai wouldn't budge; only after I asked for another representative could I leave them with the front desk. He could damage the chain's credibility. I'm reviewing five hotels in the city during this stay for my YouTube channel with 1.8 million subscribers, and this one has already been a disappointment.

The loft was nicely presented and very reasonably priced. Access is self service. There's no lift, but it's only one flight of stairs.

I had an exam the next day, and they only told me about the self check-in process a few hours before check-in time. A system error then made the check-in take a long time.

The building felt safe and well cared for. The place was really clean and modern, and the rate was good and fair. An incredible stay!
