We were a little nervous after reading some reviews, but had an incredible marathon weekend in 2026. The room had no noise from the city, which had been one of my concerns. The top-floor view took in the Shard and the marathon course on the road outside. It was compact, but had everything we needed since we planned to be out most of the time. The bed was high because luggage fits underneath, and the bathroom was modern and super clean. The reception team were fabulous without exception. Check-in was smooth, and they honoured my reservation note asking for a road view. You need a fob to access the lift area, and all the public areas were clean. After a long day running or supporting the marathon, it was great to return to a clean, fresh bed. Rooms are serviced on request. They even printed tickets for a London attraction from an email I'd forgotten to deal with at home. Breakfast was basic help-yourself food: pastries, toast, yoghurt, fruit, and porridge. At £6 it was excellent value. There was no tea or coffee in the rooms, but residents could get pretty much any hot drink they could imagine for free from the breakfast area. The goody bag for marathon runners on Sunday morning was a lovely touch. The location couldn't be beaten, with two tube stations about five minutes away in different directions. Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, HMS Belfast, the Shard, and London Bridge were all a short walk away. A fabulous weekend, thanks!

We slept well and the location was central, and the staff were incredibly friendly and checked in often to see if we needed anything. The hotel has potential, but there were a few frustrating details. Our room was adequate, though a little cramped for two adults and their bags. The hairdryer only stayed warm for a short time, so I had to keep using the cool setting. I wish I'd brought my own. There was no toilet brush, and the bathroom fan seemed more decorative than useful. You couldn't control it yourself, either. The window didn't open, and the motion sensor turned off the air conditioning while we were asleep. We never pressed the button for the “do not make up the room” sign, but our room still wasn't serviced. I don't mean making the bed or vacuuming, but even the small 5-liter bin wasn't emptied and the towels weren't changed. At the bar's evening happy hour, the listed drinks couldn't be mixed and matched. To get the discount, we had to order two of the same drink, which wasn't how we'd understood it. Breakfast was plentiful but entirely sweet, while the coffee machine had unlimited specialty coffees. We were told on arrival that coffee and tea were available around the clock, though we didn't try those.

The staff were lovely and attentive, and I especially enjoyed having breakfast with Angela and Beth. My room was comfortable and had plenty of amenities. Premier Inn Hub (Great Tower Street) is also very central, which worked well for my work trip. A perfect stay.

We really appreciated the lovely staff looking after our bags while we explored the city this weekend. They also served us drinks at the bar, and were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating the whole time. Highly recommend!

We had a top floor room with a view of the river and the Shard, and the location was great. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and everything was clean. The room was small, but it had what we needed for three nights, and the staff were all helpful and friendly. I'd shortlist this hotel for our next visit to London.
