Update: the restaurant jowls jo linger available, and sadly there's no food now. Still, the pub itself is lovely, centrally located, and the manager is a babe, friendly and chatty. All the staff are top notch. The plum porter is still first class, and I’ve had Titanic Plum Porter in plenty of pubs and at beer festivals. If you like a well looked after live real ale, you can't go far wrong. GO! This was my favourite pub and restaurant in cleerthorpes, genuinely lovely. The old pub and hotel had friendly, chatty staff, and the home cooked Sunday roast was lovely. Titanic plum porter!!!!! My fave beer ever. The upstairs restaurant, which wasn’t advertised anywhere, felt like a hidden gem. Food, staff and location were amazing. I even had their mid week Sunday roast and it was one of the best!

A friendly locals pub where dogs are welcome. The real ales are kept well, especially Timothy's Landlord and the Plumb Porter. Well worth a visit, and I’ll be back sometime soon.

Next time we’re in Cleethorpes, we’ll take our “dangerous” dog and our money elsewhere. If you don’t like the public, Nikki, maybe a job without customers would suit you, especially with your current Post-it note situation. 10/10 for misery. We popped into the Nottingham House yesterday, and the place was nearly empty, like a ghost town during lockdown. You’d think our custom would be welcome, but we felt like we’d walked into someone’s private living room uninvited. By the time we sat down with our drinks, the Landlady had started dinner, which may explain the bulldog-chewing-a-wasp look. Our dog had the audacity to move two yards toward me at the bar while we were unhooking his lead to take off his coat. The Landlady stopped pulling pints, came around the bar and gave us a patronising lecture, pointing at the “Dogs on Leads” sign as though explaining a door handle to a village idiot. I later saw on Facebook that she’s lost her voice again and is communicating with Post-it notes. Bold business move. Maybe she could write, “I’m eating, please go away,” or “Custom appreciated, but misery preferred.” If you want condescension with your pint, this is the place.

We had a lovely hour or so with drinks, card games, laughs and good fun. There were 10 of us, and the woman serving was friendly and welcoming. It’s a cosy little pub with a great atmosphere and reasonable drink prices. We didn’t eat, so I can’t comment on the food. We’d definitely come back.

I had the vegan option and still got to enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner, with rich, savoury nut roast, lovely textures, all the trimmings and vegan gravy. Becky even made sure there was vegan cream for dessert. The meals were lovely and portions generous, so many of us couldn’t finish. The team did a spot on job checking that everyone was happy and had full bellies. Superb food and service for our Christmas do, highly recommended.
