Old Hall Country Breaks

The afternoon tea at Old Hall was the best either of us could imagine having. We booked it for the day we arrived, and afterwards we both felt there was no point going anywhere else for afternoon tea. We stayed two nights in Stable Cottage for my partner's birthday, though we wished we could have stayed longer. On our first morning, fresh eggs appeared at the door with a birthday note from the chickens. The breakfast hamper was luxurious and had everything we wanted, and the kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils we could think of. We had a private garden with a hammock, plus lots of lovely places in the large shared gardens to sit, relax, play games or have a drink. The whole property was immaculately presented. We felt welcome and well looked after throughout, and arranging a private driver to and from a local restaurant made my partner's birthday evening perfect without us having to drive. Gil and Philip clearly care about making sure every guest enjoys their stay. We’re very grateful for their hospitality and would happily return.

The gardens and grounds at Old Country Hall Breaks, East Wing, are stunning, and the decor inside is beautiful. The animals, including the chickens, goats, dogs, and Finnegan, add a lovely bit of character. The food was excellent too, with dishes that looked as good as they tasted. Gil and Philip were attentive hosts and took care of every need with real attention to detail. A big thank you to the whole team at Old Country Hall Breaks. You’re amazing! I’d highly recommend a stay and am already looking forward to going back.

We spent a few days at The Old Hall Country Breaks between Christmas and New Year to relax and recharge, and had such a fabulous time that we've already booked another stay for June. Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality, Gil.

The Thai food delivered to our door was delicious, and came from a local vendor. It was genuinely authentic. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and so comfortable, with lots of little details showing how much care had gone into it. Old Hall Country Breaks was just right for our anniversary: peaceful, relaxing and full of old country charm. Gill and Phill were warm, thoughtful hosts who made us feel at home and helped make the celebration special. Everything was lovely from start to finish. We’d return in a heartbeat, and would give more than five stars if we could.
