The pub had a lovely, relaxed and welcoming feel, with gorgeous decor, lovely art and a beautiful open fire. I went with a group of girlfriends, and we all enjoyed absolutely delicious food. The staff were very friendly too. I’ll be back soon for more of that amazing sticky toffee pudding, and I’d highly recommend the place.

Max, the owner, was a fantastic host and genuinely looked after me and the other customers. The staff were very efficient, and the three courses I had for lunch last Friday were delicious, well cooked and served at just the right time after each course. The dessert was so good I forgot to take a snap of it. Highly recommended if you’re after a fine dining experience.

The Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the Bloody Marys were delicious too. They also offer a set menu, which makes it really good value. The staff were so sweet, especially the barman Charles and, of course, Max. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. A really great pub experience!

Max, the new owner, has done a beautiful job transforming this characterful old building. It feels warm, charming and inviting, and you feel looked after as soon as you arrive. We had an amazing lunch, with sensational food that was refined and elegant while still full of flavour and balance. Tom in the kitchen is seriously talented. Easily the best pub lunch we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

Max and Charlie were professional and welcoming hosts. The Sunday roast at the refurbished Duke of Cumberland was unbelievably stunning, a take on the traditional lunch with a few twists of its own. The rosti entree was sublime. Highly, highly recommended.
