Lime Lodge

The river running through the lodge grounds made an already quiet, relaxing stay feel even more peaceful. There’s no reception or other facilities, though I personally didn’t need any. It’s well placed for nearby walks and spectacular scenery.

The local pub was fantastic, and the views from Alder lodge were perfect. We stayed there for my birthday on 14th feb, and I didn’t want to leave. It’s tucked away beside the river, very clean and peaceful. My partner and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it.

My daughter still talks about this trip more than any other holiday we’ve taken together, and we’d love to do it again. Our lodge was beautiful and calming inside and out, overlooking a little stream. We’d sit on the balcony with breakfast in the morning, then watch the water flow by again in the evening before bed.

The Crown is close by, and Craven Arms, with its shops, is about 3 or 4 Miles away. There’s no shop or bar on site, but the scenery is lovely and there are great walks around. Our spacious lodge was well equipped, with a hot tub, a log burner, and a basket of logs waiting for us, so we didn’t need to buy any straight away. It’s right beside the river Clun. A few small things could be better: there’s no dishwasher, the hot tub light didn’t work, and we would have liked a bit more privacy in the tub. Otherwise, everything was spot on. We’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway.
