Stopped here for lunch and would happily do so again. The service was pleasant, there were good drink choices, and the toilet was a good size. I had a well-cooked, large jacket potato with tuna and mayonnaise. It’s lovely inside, with bench seating outside too.

The pottery session was so much fun, and the couple who run the cottage are lovely. We stayed for a weekend with a few friends and will definitely be back. The cottage was stunning inside, beautifully decorated for Christmas and immaculately clean.

The cake was lovely, but the experience at the tea room put us off coming back. A woman sitting in front of the counter barely acknowledged us, then seemed annoyed when we ordered. There were no smiles or conversation. Earlier, a very nice gentleman had met us in the car park, chatted with us and said we could bring the dog inside, so it felt like a very mixed welcome.

A great combination for an interesting stop in a beautiful part of the world, where tea meets pottery. There’s also a holiday let. Jonathan went above and beyond to welcome three weary travellers desperate for a cup of tea, and we were truly grateful.
