Mondo Hotel

The receptionist was very friendly, and our small rooms had everything we needed. The bar was frustrating, though. We bought drinks and were told there were no seats because all the tables had been booked. Nobody sat at them the entire time we were there, so we ended up drinking while standing in the doorway.

There was plenty of parking, and breakfast, WiFi and a smart TV were included. The place is central and good value, so I would stay again. My room was spotless, nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. The bed was a little too firm for me, and the shower went cold a couple of times while I was using it. Housekeeping knocked just after 8 on my first morning to ask about cleaning the room. After travelling hundreds of miles, I really needed a lie-in. I understand many guests may be at breakfast, and I wouldn't mind a knock at 9 or later, especially with checkout at 11. They were polite about it.

It's a quiet spot near a strip mall, though a fair way from the city. Parking is free, plentiful and partly covered. The hotel feels modern, but the place is a bit small and the corridors are tight. The bed is firm but nice, the shower pressure is amazing, and the WiFi is free.

The attached restaurant serves great food, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They're upgrading the rooms: I've stayed in the older ones, which were great, and the new rooms are finished really well. A lovely hotel for anyone staying nearby.
