I’ve tried most of the menu over many visits, at both lunch and dinner, and every dish has been outstanding, from the starters through to the mains. I used to work nearby, so it was an easy place to visit. The staff are welcoming, kind, and always ready to help, and The County deserves thanks for its professionalism and great service. I’d happily recommend it.

The staff make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in, and the service is second to none. I’ve spent lots of family birthdays at The County and love coming here on New Years Eve. Every dish tastes amazing. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out, get a table booked!

We’d always enjoyed the food and service on previous visits to the County, so lunch today was a real letdown. The main courses took nearly an hour, and nobody had warned us it would be that long. I had to ask when they were coming, and was told several tables were all being served on one pass. When our meals arrived they were lukewarm, the pork was fatty, and neither of us enjoyed it. Nobody checked whether everything was alright or asked if we wanted dessert, so we left. Such a shame after our good experiences before.

The venue was welcoming and the service excellent, but the food was very poor. We both ordered the Korean chicken and it had absolutely no taste. The Christmas pudding was overcooked too, with a rubbery texture. We didn’t complain because we were out with friends, though we definitely would have if we’d been on our own. Probably wouldn’t come back for food. It might have been a one-off, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend eating here. A complete waste of money.
