We had a great three-night stay at Lakeside Guest House. Tim and Karen were very friendly, the beds were excellent and comfy, and the breakfasts couldn’t be faulted. We’re looking forward to going back sometime this year. Alan and Sandra.

Karen and Tim made us feel so welcome, they were amazing hosts. The guest house is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, and the accommodation itself was beautiful. Breakfast was a definite 10/10. If you’re planning to visit the Lake District, I highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed!

We only had two nights in room 4, with views of the lake and Skiddaw, but we’re definitely coming back. The building has a lot of history and character, everywhere is spotless, and you can see the thought that’s gone into everything. The breakfast was fantastic too. Tim and Karen gave us a genuinely warm welcome and are so knowledgeable and helpful. It’s easy to reach the popular areas, then come back to peace and quiet. Bliss!

We stayed for two nights and found it great value for money. Our twin room had large windows looking out over the lake, and it was lovely, clean and tastefully decorated. The setting was so peaceful, with no road noise, and the comfortable beds meant we slept well after walking in the lakes. Breakfast had lots of choice for different tastes and dietary requirements, all delicious and perfectly cooked. I had the full English on the first day and pancakes the next, and there was locally sourced produce too. The hosts were delightful. We couldn’t have asked for more, and I’d highly recommend this guesthouse.
