The Towers Hotel and Spa

The food was delicious, hot and plentiful, and there was lots to choose from at breakfast. We stayed at the Towers for a Christmas get-together and saw the Freddie Mercury tribute act. I was blown away. The rooms were fabulous, the spa was great, and the staff were so friendly and happy to help. Couldn't have asked for more. A five-star experience 😍

We came as a group of 20 for the drag disco, and the entertainment was amazing. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was great. We didn't have time to try the spa, so we'll come back for that. The rooms were clean and we slept really well, though they felt a little dated and could use some attention.

The public areas were lovely, and the entertainment at our Christmas work party was great. The dinner, though, was dreadful. It seemed made from cheap frozen food, with a real sense of penny-pinching. We booked six rooms for the group. They were well appointed but looked tired, and my mattress had random very hard patches that made the bed uncomfortable. I can't speak for the others' rooms. I travel a lot and rely on honest reviews, so I had expected better. We won't be back for next year's party, which is a shame.

The restaurant food was tasty and reasonably priced, and breakfast the next morning had a good range and plenty to eat. My wife and I stayed one night in an annex room, which was nice and well placed for the swimming pool. The facilities and location were both great, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Some parts of the hotel look a bit tired, but that hasn't put us off planning another visit at Easter.
