The breakfasts were delicious, and the tea and coffee in the rooms were excellent. We had a great stay in a clean, cosy place that’s decorated really nicely. There’s a large shared lounge where you can plan walks or put your feet up after a hike. We arrived very late because of the train strikes, but the owner was still up to give us a warm welcome. They even dried our soaked walking clothes, which were ready for us the next morning. Thank you!

I’d put it at three to four stars. The staff were pleasant and service was quick. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but perfectly edible. The hot water pot for refreshing the teapot was a nice touch. My toast could have done with more butter, and my partner didn’t get a hash brown, though we didn’t mention it and I’m sure they’d have sorted it out if we had.

Cute little cafe, and the staff were really friendly. We had the small breakfast for £7.50, a long sausage, two slices of bacon, a fried egg and a pot of beans. It was tasty, and we ordered two rounds of toast as well. The toilets were clean. They weren't great about clearing things away or wiping seats and tables for the next customers, but I'd call again.

A friendly cafe with a good breakfast, fairly priced and cooked well with good ingredients. It’s a handy place to fuel up before a day’s walking. They’re dog friendly when it isn’t too busy. Definitely recommended.

We ducked in for a quick bite while it was raining and had a lovely lunch. The food was wholesome and reasonably priced, and the place was surprisingly spacious inside. We were allowed to bring the dog in, which was a big bonus. There was a very good selection, and the cakes looked amazing, though I didn’t try one. Would recommend to anyone passing by.
