We come here regularly for dinner and a catch-up with friends. It’s easy to find just off Cookstown's Main Street, and the food is always very good. Service is efficient, helpful, and accommodating, including for my friend who needs gluten-free food. Prices feel about right for nowadays and are as good value as you’ll find anywhere. I haven’t stayed here, so I can’t comment on the rooms or anything else. We’ll be back, and I’d happily recommend it.

Popped in for coffee on the afternoon of NYE and got lovely, quick service. The warm mince pies were a great extra. It was extremely busy, but the restaurant still had a nice atmosphere, and the staff were polite and friendly, especially Michelle.

We’d booked a table for seven for dinner, but ended up waiting over an hour and 15 minutes and still had no food. It took 10 minutes before anyone seated us, 20 more to order drinks, then another 25 before they took our food order. If we hadn’t had two pensioners and three children with us, I’d have walked out. The management were atrocious and communicated very poorly with customers. Other diners were talking about the same problems while they waited for attention. Credit to the staff serving tables and bringing drinks for putting up with the situation. Honestly, a shocking experience.

The rooms were exceptional, the welcome was warm, and the food was delicious and great value. The restaurant service, though, kept letting us down across all four of my visits. Drinks and other items went missing, staff forgot to take our food and drink orders, and we had to ask different people to place an order or get the bill. I’ve worked in hospitality and can overlook a slip once, but this happened consistently and really spoiled the dining experience. The staff were always pleasant and warm, especially the women in the restaurant and at reception.

Our daughter's wedding reception was at the Adair Suite last week. It’s spacious, and the rooms are large and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, with great service from our first visit right through to the wedding day. Money well spent.
