The Old Workshop

We had a cosy stay at The Old Workshop while there was frost and a little snow outside. The woodburners and supply of logs made it especially lovely. The hosts, Sally and Tim, were helpful, and we appreciated the welcome pack. The property is immaculate and fitted with the latest equipment. There was a generously pre-stocked coffee machine, tea bags and other essentials, and the bed linen was top quality. We visited Vindolanda, Bamburgh and Corbridge, and also spent a day in Newcastle, which is easy to reach by train. There are great restaurants nearby.

This was our second time at the cottage, and we hope to return again. It's perfectly placed for exploring the area, and everything you might need has been thought of. The playroom came in handy when my niece visited with her family. We also loved how comfortable the beds were, the excellent quality of the linen and towels, and the lovely toiletries. The cottage is fantastic.

Sally and Tim were lovely hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for a weekend catching up with friends. They even offered us lifts to the pub in the rain. The cottage was immaculate, and I wish my own house was this nice. It's a beautiful, peaceful place in an idyllic setting, with local amenities and the stunning Northumberland countryside still within easy reach. A wonderful weekend at a cottage that deserves its five stars.

We've stayed a few times and have already planned our next visit. Sally and Tim are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make each stay memorable. Thanks to them both, and for the lovely basket of fresh bread, homemade jam and honey. Such a thoughtful touch. X The Old Workshop is in a peaceful, relaxing spot in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Corbridge is within walking distance, along with access to lots of walking trails.
