Contractor Accommodation - Cacco

I liked being able to check in without anyone there, and the room was clean and had plenty supplied. The bathroom was clean too, but it was shared, despite being advertised as ensuite and private. The key was sitting on the microwave; I only spotted it on my second night.

I stayed for five nights, and there were problems with the room and upkeep. The toilet wouldn’t drain properly, which was absolutely disgusting, and the towels and bedsheets weren’t changed each day. At first I couldn’t find the closet in the room I’d booked, which was supposed to have all the amenities. When I raised issues, they said it was a low-budget hotel, though it still costs around £50-55 a night.

The room was filthy, with a used condom wrapper and dental floss picks left behind by previous guests. It felt like nobody had properly cleaned it at all. Outside, people who looked questionable were constantly hanging around and coming and going, and I never felt comfortable entering or leaving. Calling this a hotel seems generous. It felt more like a neglected halfway house with a booking system. It was stiflingly hot inside, with no ventilation. There was one broken fan for three rooms, so we were left sweating in a stuffy, dirty box. Spend a few extra quid and stay somewhere else.
