We spent a wonderful four nights and five days at the birdcage with Lesley and Paul. They’re lovely people and wonderful hosts. The accommodation and food were excellent, and the hot tub was lovely too. Nothing was too much trouble. I’ll recommend them to all my friends.

Coming back after a day of exploring was lovely, whether we wanted to put our feet up or have a dip in the hot tub. We were there with our beloved dog and couldn’t have asked for a better home for the week. The recommendations for places to visit and eat were excellent, especially the Blue Bell Inn for dinner. Thanks for welcoming us and making it such a lovely stay. The Birdcage feels like a warm home from home in a quiet village, with a local shop, a restaurant and a quaint church opposite. It’s well placed for exploring the coast, and the roads are scenic and free from traffic. Breakfast was a full English, with juice, coffee, cereals, yoghurt and fruit.

The owners built an impressive house. We didn’t have breakfast because we’re very early starters, so that wasn’t the hosts’ fault. Definitely worth recommending.

Our room was warm and cosy, and the shower was great. Breakfast was great too. Lesley and Paul made us feel really welcome. Had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.
