We stopped for a late lunch and the food was really good. The suet crust steak pie was excellent, and the rest of the menu looked great. There was a great table by the window, and a nice bar area with a big log burner in the middle. The pub is in lovely surroundings and only a short drive from us, so it’s easy to get to. Definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back sometime. Thank you.

We both eat vegetarian, so we chose the vegan pie, then had a Yorkshire pudding each and cauliflower cheese on the side, so our meal wasn’t vegan. The Sunday lunch was banging. Food and service were excellent, and the welcome was warm too. What a nice surprise to come across a place like this. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely return if we’re in the area.

A lovely English country restaurant with a good bar and reasonable prices. I had the chicken and leek pie with roast vegetables, hearty and delicious. The staff were really friendly.

The ladies were welcoming and helpful, and the Eton mess was great too. We were on a break in the area and glad we stopped for Sunday lunch. The beef was so tender it fell apart, no knife needed. Simple food, done really well. Would recommend, though I’d advise booking ahead.

There were 10 of us for a meal. The atmosphere was nice, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent.
